Join the PRC for a unique Beams and Brews! Start the evening with sign-in and drinks at Bargeboard. Owned by former New Orleans City Council member Kristin Palmer, Bargeboard, a Real Estate Development and Contracting company in Algiers Point, offers a unique resource for homeowners through Bargeboard Mercantile & Millshop. The Mercantile features one-of-a-kind vintage finds, while in the Millshop, managed by Calvin Tyler, skilled artisans tackle custom millwork, light fixture restoration, and historic restorations. This team empowers homeowners to craft dream spaces steeped in New Orleans’ heritage.

Once you’ve signed in and grabbed a drink, walk around the corner to the historic 4-unit creole cottage on Eliza Street. The building is likely one of the only remaining original examples of worker housing from a time when the river and railroad industries were flourishing. Built with four individual units around 1890 this unique house typology was brought back to life and will have four affordable housing units roughly 350sq. ft. each.

Beams & Brews offers a chance to view the property inside and out, hear from the project’s managers and enjoy free drinks. The PRC’s Beams & Brews series is generously presented by JLV Construction, with additional sponsorship from True Title.
