First Time Homebuyer Class

The 12 hour course takes place nightly from Monday, May 16, through Thursday, May 19.

All classes begin at 5:30 p.m. and end at 8:00 p.m. and will be held at PRC Headquarters, 923 Tchoupitoulas Street.

This course is offered by PRC and A Shared Initiative, Inc. and is certified by the LA Education Collaborative.

It acquaints prospective buyers with the details of purchase contracts, insurance, fiscal fitness, budgeting, home maintenance, and more.

Students emerge from the program prepared to tackle a home purchase process and meet the demands of owning and caring for a home.

All four sessions, held from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. are mandatory for completion of the course, which is preceded by a one-on-one financial counselling session.
