The Importance of Water Management: Preserving New Orleans’ Future breakfast series

The inaugural Preserving New Orleans’ Future lecture will feature Justin Ehrenwerth, President and CEO of the Water Institute, who will illuminate, in laymen’s terms, how our city is protected from storms, and what else our community needs to invest in to keep the city safe. His talk, which includes new research findings, is titled, “Preservation and Opportunity: The Importance of Water Management in New Orleans.”
Preserving New Orleans’ Future is a new, monthly breakfast series that will bring insight into bright opportunities for New Orleans’ future.
Residents of this city need a reason to hope. And we need residents – committed, invested, caring citizens – to keep our neighborhoods and architecture lived in, loved, and protected. With skyrocketing crime, the threats of extreme climate, and other perils capturing daily headlines, why should anyone want to stay? Who will safeguard New Orleans’ treasures, and keep our city vibrant?
The good news is this: there is still much positive work going on in New Orleans, with financial investment to accompany it. Who is investing, and why? What do they know that so many of us do not? Who is innovating, and doing excellent work in this city?
This monthly series will feature experts who have insight into why New Orleans still has a bright future, and why we should all continue to feel confident about living and investing in this city. Prepare to be inspired by the insights and investments our speakers have made already, and the hope that they see in our city’s future.
