An Introduction to Gretna’s Historic Districts

The Preservation Resource Center has partnered with the Gretna Historic District Commission (HDC) to launch a series of classes designed to help property owners understand and navigate Gretna’s HDC. The classes, which will be held in Gretna, are open to all. The first class of the series, An Introduction to Gretna’s Historic Districts, will cover a brief history, typical architecture types and styles, the importance of the HDC and what it means for homeowners, and a brief review of the design guidelines.
