Patron Party
Join sponsors and patrons as we kickoff the holiday season in style at PRC’s Holiday Patron Party on Dec. 7! This year the party will be held at 521 Gov. Nicholls St., a French Quarter property with an incredible history. The Creole-style townhouse, built between 1827 and 1830 for Claude Le Baron, has an illustrious string of previous owners, including Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, followed by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. But New Orleans music lovers will know the property as the home of Cosimo Matassa’s recording studio, where in the 1950s and 1960s “the sound of New Orleans R&B came alive as it spread throughout the world,” according to Jazz history site “A Closer Walk.” Fats Domino “recorded hit after hit” at the studio, as did Little Richard, Irma Thomas and many other R&B stars.
The Patron Party gives you a chance to enjoy cocktails, food and music as we toast the season in this historic home. All Patrons receive two tickets to the Holiday Home Tour.
Volunteer
We love our volunteers! Sign up today to be a house docent, greeter or help at the boutique! All volunteers receive a FREE ticket to the Holiday Home Tour presented by McEnery Residential. E-mail Whiton Paine or call 504.581.7032 to sign up today!
