#PreserveNOLA300 Exhibit & Reception
In New Orleans, history isn’t just in books. We live in vibrant historic communities; we are inspired by historic architecture; and we take part in centuries-old traditions that define who we are as New Orleanians.
During our tricentennial year, we reached out to our city and asked: How do you fit into our city’s 300-year history? What are the places that make you proud to be in New Orleans?
This year, Instagrammers have been posting their best photos of the city with the hashtag #preserveNOLA300. Thousands of photos have been tagged with that hashtag since the Preservation Resource Center launched it this year.
These photos offer a look at New Orleans from many viewpoints, but together they show how our culture is thriving in this historic city.
This juried exhibit will showcase selections of our favorite photos submitted, and the grand prize winner – determined by a panel of special judges – will receive a two-night stay in the master suite and a $50 bar credit at the historic Catahoula Hotel.
Wine and light snacks will be served. Free to the public. Exhibit open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday from August 6 until September 14.
