The Preservation Resource Center of New Orleans seeks a highly motivated and results-driven Corporate and Annual Fund Gift Officer to lead efforts in corporate sponsorships, annual giving campaigns, and donor engagement. This position will also play a vital role in driving advertising sales for Preservation in Print, PRC’s award-winning magazine. The ideal candidate will excel in relationship management, demonstrate a proven ability to meet revenue goals, and have a passion for historic preservation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Corporate Sponsorships and Fundraising:

  • Develop and implement strategies to secure corporate sponsorships for PRC programs, events, and initiatives.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with corporate partners, identifying new prospects and stewarding existing supporters.
  • Create and present customized sponsorship proposals and partnership packages.
  • Collaborate with PRC’s team to align sponsorship opportunities with organizational goals and program needs.

Annual Fund Campaigns:

  • Plan and execute annual giving strategies, including direct mail, email campaigns, and targeted donor appeals.
  • Analyze donor data to identify trends and opportunities for increased giving.
  • Build and maintain meaningful relationships with annual fund donors, fostering long-term engagement and loyalty.

Preservation in Print Magazine Sales:

  • Actively identify and secure advertising clients for Preservation in Print, including corporate sponsors and local businesses.
  • Develop and present advertising packages tailored to client goals and budgets.
  • Maintain relationships with advertisers to ensure satisfaction and explore opportunities for renewal and upselling.
  • Collaborate with PRC’s editorial and marketing teams to integrate advertising sales into magazine production timelines.
  • Track advertising sales metrics and prepare reports to evaluate progress against revenue targets.

Fulfillment of Sponsor and Advertiser Benefits:

  • Serve as the point of contact for corporate sponsors and advertisers, ensuring the seamless delivery of benefits and contracted deliverables.
  • Oversee sponsor recognition in PRC events, publications, and digital platforms.
  • Coordinate with the marketing and communications team to ensure fulfillment of advertising commitments in Preservation in Print and other media.

Donor and Partner Engagement:

  • Represent PRC at events, community meetings, and networking opportunities to foster relationships with donors, corporate partners, and advertisers.
  • Develop creative donor and sponsor stewardship initiatives that highlight the impact of their contributions.
  • Support the development and execution of PRC events to maximize donor and sponsor engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business, marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in corporate fundraising, sales, or a related field, with a proven track record of meeting revenue targets.
  • Exceptional sales and negotiation skills, with experience in advertising sales preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including the creation of compelling sales pitches and donor-centric narratives.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Razors Edge is a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Highly organized, with excellent attention to detail in managing multiple campaigns and benefit delivery.
  • Knowledge of historic preservation, architecture, or cultural heritage is a plus. Passion for the mission of the PRC is a must.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

This position is based in New Orleans and requires occasional evening and weekend work to attend PRC events, donor meetings, and community activities.
