TJ Semmes Elementary School building
A collection of blighted structures including the former TJ Semmes Elementary School will go up for auction at a Sheriff’s Sale on April 16, 2017.
The abandoned Holy Cross school at 1008 Jourdan Ave has sat empty for years as several redevelopment plans fell through.
Opening bids will start at 2/3 of the appraised value of the property (the appraised amount should be available on Wednesday or Thursday morning on the sheriff’s website, civilsheriff.com)
The winning bidder receives clear title to the property, free of encumbrances, including the blight lien.
Ten percent is due day of auction and the remaining 90 percent of the winning bid within 30 days.
