New Orleans is home to numerous historic cemeteries, each with a unique past. Some are privately owned, others fall under the New Orleans Catholic Archdiocese, and many are managed by the City of New Orleans. While Save Our Cemeteries (a department of the Preservation Resource Center) does not own these cemeteries, its mission is to preserve and protect them while educating the public on their history and proper family plot care.
