Qualified Charitable Distributions

A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) offers a tax-efficient option for individuals aged 70½ or older to make direct contributions from their Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to a qualified charity.

Not only can QCDs help support meaningful causes, but they also count toward satisfying an individual’s Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) for the year, which becomes mandatory starting at age 73.

The Preservation Alliance of New Orleans, Inc. d/b/a/ Preservation Resource Center of New Orleans (“PRC”) is recognized as an exempt charitable organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (“IRC”). The PRC further qualifies as a public charity under Sections 509(a)(2) and 170(b)(1)(A)(vi) of the IRC.

Contributions to the PRC are deductible as provided by law and regulation. PRC’s Federal Tax Identification Number is 72-0760857.
