How It Works
Home maintenance can be daunting but is also incredibly important. The Preservation Resource Center’s Revival Grants Program offers up to $35,000 in assistance for minor, exterior maintenance and repairs to qualifying homes and homeowners.
Examples of eligibles repairs:
- Remediating HDLC violations
- Replacing inappropriate materials used for doors, windows, shutters, and more
- Repairing and replacing damaged roofing, gutters, siding, trim
Who Qualifies
This program assists low-to-moderate income homeowners who live in Orleans Parish including designated funds for culture bearers and those awarded a Fortified Roof grant through the Louisiana Department of Insurance. The Preservation Resource Center and a committee of community stakeholders will evaluate homeowners by need and scope of work.
Qualification Requirements:
- The home must be in Orleans Parish
- The home must be 50 years old or older
- The legal homeowner(s) must reside in the home and only own one property
- The total household income (all adults living in the home) cannot exceed the current 80% AMI limit, which is as follows in the New Orleans-Metairie, LA HUD Metro:
- $50,300 for a family of 1
- $57,500 for a family of 2
- $64,700 for a family of 3
- $71,850 for a family of 4
- $77,600 for a family of 5

Revival Grants Program Funding
Since 2019, Revival Grants has been supported by the 1772 Foundation, the City of New Orleans, Hancock Whitney Bank, the Bentson Foundation, Regions Bank, The National Trust for Historic Preservation including the African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund, the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the Richard and Julia Moe Family Fund, and other private donors.
