When asked about the biggest challenges facing preservation, Interim Director Jack Davis addresses “the myth that preservation is gentrification, which means displacement, and the myth that preservation is in opposition to low-cost housing.”

He discusses the PRC’s role in saving our city’s historic buildings, fighting neighborhood displacement with our Operation Comeback and Rebuilding Together New Orleans programs, and creating safe livable neighborhoods for people across all income groups and demographics.
