The Historic District Landmarks Commission recently honored the PRC’s restoration of Incardonia’s (aka Big Red) with a coveted restoration award! AIA award winning architect Wayne Troyer designed the exterior renewal of the building as well as the four condominiums it now houses. The revamp is true to the building’s history as a former “corner store/house” where the Incardonia family operated their family business and lived upstairs for more than 60 years. HGTV & the National Trust for Historic Preservation joined forces and recognized the project with a Restore America Award. With prices starting at just $199K, the loft-like units bring the style of the Warehouse District to the Faubourg Marengo neighborhood while honoring the Uptown neighborhood’s architectural fabric. Each of the four units offers something different – a deck, a balcony, a covered gallery – and all have off-street parking.
