Kim Cummings has lived in the New Orleans metro area for most of her life and has always been drawn to art, architectural design, and the character of the city’s homes and neighborhoods. Her interests led her to study CAD design at Delgado Community College, floral art through Creative Floral Design School, and real estate through First Professional Real Estate School. After Hurricane Katrina, Kim began working in emergency management and disaster recovery, building experience in public assistance, individual assistance, mitigation, historic preservation, and program construction analysis. More than 21 years later, she remains committed to helping revitalize and beautify homes and businesses. Though her work has taken her many places, she says nothing compares to New Orleans. At the PRC, Kim supports the Revival Grants Program and helps strengthen the city through grant-funded preservation work.
