Historic House Specialist
The PRC’s popular Historic House Specialist program provides detailed information about the historic house types, architectural styles and neighborhoods of New Orleans, as well as best practices in historic renovation, rehabilitation tax incentives and historic house research. This program also provides continuing-education credits for Realtors from the LA Real Estate Commission, as well as credit towards certification as a PRC-approved Historic House Specialist. To receive the Historic House Specialist designation, Realtors must attend the Historic House Specialist seminar and attend two additional PRC programs.
Upon completion of the programs, certified Historic House Specialists are able to assist potential homeowners in purchasing and renovating older homes that contribute to New Orleans’ character and encourage future investment and revitalization.

Volunteer
Our volunteers are critical to the success of our events and enjoy a variety of benefits. Volunteering at the PRC is a great way to meet others who are passionate about preserving New Orleans’ architecture and culture, and to network with colleagues in professions allied to historic preservation (architecture, real estate, construction, etc.).
Register to become a volunteer or contact Whiton Paine, Director of Development, for more details.
