Curious about PRC’s Holiday Heritage Tour?
Join the Preservation Resource Center of New Orleans and Project Por Amor for a free informational webinar to learn more about our exclusive six-day New Orleans Holiday Heritage Tour, taking place Dec. 9–14, 2026.
During this session, you’ll get an inside look at this one-of-a-kind journey through the architecture, food, music, history and cultural traditions that make New Orleans unlike anywhere else — especially during the holiday season. PRC staff and our partners at Project Por Amor will walk through the itinerary, highlight signature experiences, and answer your questions about registration, accommodations, logistics and what to expect.
Learn more about the beloved New Orleans holiday traditions and many memorable moments featured throughout the journey, including Réveillon dining, the spectacular Festival of the Bonfires along the Mississippi River and the dazzling lights of Celebration in the Oaks. During the webinar, we’ll share highlights from the itinerary and offer a preview of experiences available exclusively to tour participants, such as access to PRC’s cherished Holiday Home Tour, intimate live music performances and a private viewing of Dr. Leona Tate’s Civil Rights Christmas Cards exhibition, which provides a personal perspective on a pivotal moment in New Orleans history through correspondence she received after helping desegregate the city’s public schools in 1960.
For more than 50 years, PRC has worked to protect the places that make New Orleans special. This travel experience offers a rare opportunity to explore those places — and the culture surrounding them — through the eyes of preservationists, historians, musicians and community leaders who know the city best.
Space on the tour is limited to just 24 guests, and registration is now open. Join us to learn what makes this holiday journey so unique and how you can be part of this unforgettable New Orleans experience.
All PRC travel programs are presented in proud partnership with Project Por Amor, a member of Sustainable Travel International, supporting cultural exchange and sustainable travel worldwide.
