Join the Preservation Resource Center for our annual Design Luncheon, an afternoon celebrating beautiful homes, inspired gardens, and the timeless art of gracious living.

This year’s luncheon brings together three extraordinary women whose work has shaped the worlds of interior design, publishing, and luxury craftsmanship. Celebrated designer Charlotte Moss, FLOWER magazine founder and editor-in-chief Margot Shaw, and New Orleans’ own Jane Scott Hodges, owner of Leontine Linens, will share an engaging conversation exploring the traditions, inspiration, and personal stories behind the homes we create and the lives we cultivate within them.

The discussion will feature Charlotte Moss’ highly anticipated new book, Charlotte Moss: At Home in Virginia, alongside Margot Shaw’s newest release, Flowering Outdoors: Gardens and Parties. Moderated by Jane Scott Hodges—whose passion for Southern hospitality and timeless design has made Leontine Linens an internationally recognized luxury brand—the conversation promises an inspiring look at the enduring beauty of thoughtful interiors, flourishing gardens, meaningful entertaining, and the rituals that make a house feel like home.

Charlotte Moss

With a career spanning more than four decades, Charlotte Moss is one of America’s most celebrated interior designers. Since founding her eponymous design firm in 1985, she has become synonymous with timeless elegance, layered interiors, and gracious Southern hospitality.

Drawing inspiration from history, architecture, travel, and the decorative arts, Charlotte has designed private residences and executive suites throughout the United States and abroad. Her influence extends beyond interiors through acclaimed collections for Century Furniture, Fabricut, Stark Carpet, Pickard, P.E. Guerin, Soicher-Marin, IBU Clothing, Artemis Design Company, and other distinguished brands.

Charlotte is also an accomplished author whose twelve books have become staples of the design world. Her newest volume, Charlotte Moss: At Home in Virginia, to be released in September 2026, offers an intimate look at the homes, gardens, and landscapes that continue to inspire her work.

Her many honors include the New York School of Interior Design’s Centennial Medal, the Royal Oak Foundation’s Timeless Design Award, and recognition on Elle Décor‘s prestigious Grand Masters list. A passionate preservationist and philanthropist, Charlotte serves on the boards of numerous cultural and historic organizations, including the Thomas Jefferson Foundation at Monticello, The Garden Conservancy, Hillwood Estate, Museum & Gardens, and The Madoo Conservancy.

Margot Shaw

Margot Shaw is the founder and editor-in-chief of FLOWER magazine, the award-winning publication devoted to flowers, gardens, homes, entertaining, and inspired living.

After studying art history at Hollins College and interior design at the University of Texas, Margot discovered a passion for floral design while planning her daughter’s wedding. Recognizing there was no publication dedicated to celebrating flowers as an essential part of everyday living, she launched FLOWER magazine. Nearly two decades later, it has become one of the country’s premier lifestyle publications, inspiring readers with exceptional homes, gardens, travel, design, and entertaining.

Margot is a sought-after speaker at museums, botanical gardens, antique shows, and design centers throughout the country. She is the author of Living Floral and her newest book, Flowering Outdoors: Gardens and Parties, published in spring 2026, which celebrates spectacular gardens and the joy of gathering outdoors.

Deeply committed to philanthropy, Margot serves on numerous advisory boards and organizations supporting gardens, preservation, and community enrichment throughout the South.
