Future Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees put down his football to pick up a paintbrush at a Rebuilding Together New Orleans build at a Boys and Girls Club on May 10, 2016.

Seven-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Andre Reed teamed up with Brees at the build, which also featured dozens of volunteers from Chevron and other groups.

Brees and Reed started an impromptu painting competition in a hallway as each competed to finish painting his favorite state first.

Reed, an Allentown, Pennsylvania native, painted his home state first before Brees focused with laser-like precision while painting Louisiana gold.

The pair of NFL greats went on to help paint a classroom and help with several other tasks at the Boys and Girls Club, which was devastated by flooding after Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
