Climate change resilience: How New Orleans can survive and thrive after intense storms
- —
Event Navigation

Join the PRC for an in-person presentation by Terri Dreyer, founding partner of NANO, that addresses topics such as climate change, rising tides and proposed building designs to help make New Orleans neighborhoods stronger and better equipped to deal with intense storms. Originally stemming from NANO’s award-winning exhibit at the 2021 Time Space Existence/Venice Biennale event hosted by the European Cultural Centre, their proposed multi-purpose “arx” or community hubs, if strategically placed throughout New Orleans, would leverage existing infrastructure to provide shelter, water and electricity for area residents following a hurricane. NANO’s exhibit, “Exist, Survive, Thrive: Bridging the Edge,” was previously presented in both Venice and Chicago as part of the “Shaping the City” Venice Biennale symposium. If you prefer to join by Zoom, please register to receive an invitation.
