January 27 at 6:00pm — 7:30pm
Join the PRC for this free informative session about FORTIFIED roofs. Spend the first half of the event learning about the FORTIFIED program and the second half, hearing from and getting questions answered by the knowledgeable panel. The panel will include Mark Zehnal, IBHS Senior Roofing Specialist, Alexandra Cary, IBHS Market Development Manager, Yvette Jett, Senior Architectural Historian for the City of New Orleans Historic District Landmarks Commission, and more!
FORTIFIED is a program of the Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) specifically designed to prevent damage commonly occurring during high winds, hurricanes, hailstorms, severe thunderstorms and tornadoes. The presentation will cover the different levels of Fortified; if the program can be applied to a historic building; how to find a certified construction company; how to get your project verified; and how much assurance does it provide through a hurricane?
