The Preservation Resource Center will offer an up close and personal look at the beautiful and historic Orpheum Theater at the Renovators’ Happy Hour on Friday, September 19, 2015.
In anticipation of that event, photographer James Shaw documented some of the renovation work that has gone into bringing the Orpheum back to its former glory.
From the hundreds of hours of intricate detail work that went into restoring every facet of the 96 year old theater’s ornate decorations to the instillation of the modern stage lighting rig, Shaw captured the moments just before the grand theater rumbles back to life.
