The Preservation Resource Center is saddened by the passing of Bill Robinson, who died Oct. 12, 2023. Bill, a longtime PRC supporter and passionate teacher, is a nationally recognized consultant, author and trainer with more than 30 years of residential construction experience. He served as a member of the PRC’s Technical Services Committee and presented on topics including securing the building envelope, managing moisture, energy efficiency, and window restoration — the focuses of his impressive career. During his time in New Orleans, Bill taught many EPA Renovation, Repair, and Painting courses to both general contractors and AmeriCorps volunteers. These courses are focused on lead paint safety and lead paint poisoning prevention, another of Bill’s passions. Many AmeriCorps volunteers still talk about the Sunday pancake breakfasts that Bill held weekly for them.

Bill was always eager to share his knowledge and was a huge proponent of historic buildings being properly fitted with modern amenities.  His advice and knowledge will be sorely missed at the Preservation Resource Center.
