The Preservation Resource Center of New Orleans is planning an exciting slate of events and exhibits to celebrate the vitality of our historic city and its unique architecture and neighborhoods.
The 300-year-old New Orleans we know and love continues to thrive because of preservation, but it’s not only about the buildings – it’s about the stories of the people who shape our city and its historic neighborhoods. In New Orleans, living amongst architectural treasures big and small is a way of life: we live in vibrant historic communities, we are inspired by historic architecture, and we continue to take part in centuries-old traditions that define who we are as New Orleanians.
How do you fit into our city’s 300-year history? What are the places that make you proud to be in New Orleans?
Show us by posting your best photos of our historic city on Instagram with the hashtag #preserveNOLA300 to let us know why New Orleans is your home and the best place in the world to visit. What is your favorite historic building or neighborhood? Where do you dream of exploring? What’s the one-of-a-kind streetscape that keeps you inspired?
Your entries will be included in a summer exhibit at the PRC, with special judges selecting the best photos for prizes.
To kick off the effort, and all of PRC’s Tricentennial programming, join us the evening of Saturday, March 3 for the debut photo exhibit of local Instagram celeb “the.preservationist,” aka Jennifer Hance, who will also serve as a judge of the #preserveNOLA300 campaign.
