The Preservation Resource Center of New Orleans invites you to join an extraordinary architectural and cultural tour of Sicily, May 9 – 19, 2026. Experience the heart of this magnificent island as we uncover its ancient wonders, vibrant traditions, and living heritage.
This 11-day, 10-night journey, created in partnership with Project Por Amor, will be an immersive exploration led by a team of local historians, architects, preservationists, and artisans. Together, we’ll trace Sicily’s fascinating history — from the grandeur of Greek and Roman temples to the splendor of Baroque cathedrals, the charm of medieval hill towns, and the vitality of contemporary Sicilian culture.
Our itinerary includes visits to Palermo’s ornate palaces and lively markets, Agrigento’s stunning Valley of the Temples, and the seaside beauty of Siracusa and Ortigia. Along the way, travelers will enjoy hands-on cultural experiences — a traditional Sicilian cooking class, a private concert, and a visit to a historic puppet maker’s atelier — offering a window into the island’s enduring craftsmanship and creative spirit.
Savor authentic Sicilian cuisine at local farms and wineries, indulge in farm-to-table meals prepared by regional chefs, and enjoy private tastings of world-renowned wines and olive oils. Double occupancy: $6,995 (per person)
Single occupancy: $8,395
Payment Schedule
A non-refundable $750 per person deposit is due upon registration to secure your space. Final balance is due July 3rd, 2026.
Currency Exchange Policy
Pricing is based on July 3, 2025 exchange rates (1 USD = 0.85 EUR). To protect against significant currency fluctuations, on June 1st, 2026, final balance amounts will be adjusted by the variance from the original exchange rate. Any increases or decreases will be clearly communicated to all travelers.
Registration & Confirmation
Spaces are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. 15 travelers must register by June 1st, 2026 for the program to proceed. Full refunds will be provided if minimum enrollment is not reached.
Travel Arrangements
Airfare is not included. Flight bookings are the responsibility of each traveler. Our team provides complimentary guidance on booking and can answer questions about travel logistics to ensure your seamless arrival in Sicily.
