Ready to move beyond the basics? This hands-on workshop focuses on the practical skills homeowners can use to maintain and extend the life of their historic wood windows.
Working with the NOLA Wood Windows team, you’ll learn how to safely remove and reinstall window sashes for rope replacement, install spring bronze weatherstripping to improve energy efficiency, properly secure and seal a non-operable upper sash while preserving the original window, and make minor repairs using common wood fillers and epoxy products.
Designed for homeowners who want to become more confident in caring for their own windows, this workshop emphasizes practical techniques, preservation-minded decision-making, and the routine maintenance that helps historic windows perform for decades to come.
